Drive-in theatres are an art that’s all but lost in the 21st century.

Oh sure, there are still a small handful in operation…like the Cascade in West Chicago or the McHenry Outdoor Theater, though most have vanished…like the Hi-Lite 30 in Aurora.

As for actual Chicago city locations like the Double or the Bel-Air, they’re long gone…until now, that is!

You can thank the Six Corners Association for reviving the art. On Friday, September 30th, the parking lot at 3930 N. Milwaukee Ave. will become a drive-in (or walk-in, if you wish) theatre…for one night only.
