We’re living in a digital age and that means, you never leave the house without your camera phone, especially if you’re planning on going to the presidential debate.

That’s why I was quite surprised to see that everyone was using them last night during Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s showdown.

Many teens nowadays probably don’t even know what a disposable camera is, but I think it’s self explanatory.

Regardless, it looked like a scene from the 90s!

My first thought was obviously that the hand-picked audience did not own a camera/camera phone? But that didn’t seem quite right.

Then I thought, were disposable camera’s trying to make a comeback? Highly unlikely.

As I was scrolling through Twitter, it was obvious a lot of people were also confused.

The explanation is quite simple however – cell phones aren’t allowed inside the debate.

In fact, for the past several debates, the only thing allowed inside the debate has been a disposable camera.

The Secret Service takes safety very seriously so they probably did it as a precaution and maybe even so it wasn’t a distraction.

CBS Radio director of digital content John Dodge said that when Obama visited Chicago this weekend, people attending the fundraiser had to leave cell phones outside so it is common practice.
Just imagine, it is 2016, there is a woman running for President and you are snapping and scrolling to the next frame, snapping and scrolling to the next frame on your disposable camera.
And then, you have NO IDEA where to get those pics developed. What a time to be alive.
