Roll your eyes if you will but Sweetest Day is Saturday, October 15th this year (aka TOMORROW).

This “holiday” is always the 3rd Saturday of the month of October (which is why it typically falls on a different day every year).

Originally named “Candy Day” in 1916, this day was intended to remind people to bring small tokens of affection (mostly candy) to improve the lives of those around them who are suffering or going without.

Clearly, it’s spiraled a bit from the meaning (not just the name) but the intention was to bring “sweets to your sweetheart”.

Tomorrow does mark the 100th anniversary of Sweetest Day…so do what you will with that! Ha!

At the very least tell your loved ones you love them (like you should every day) or this warning will at least give you enough time to trace your hand or something for your sweetie!

For the single ladies (since guys typically don’t care) hang with your girls and know that there will be tons of flowers on-sale at the stores for this “holiday” – I’m buying some for myself!

Go Cubs Go tomorrow…and Happy Sweetest Day from me to you! ❤
