Starbucks can’t stop, won’t stop expanding its menu.

The coffee chain plans to kick off 2017 with a surprising new drink addition – the Cascara Latte.

Now, you’re probably sitting there wondering, what the heck is that?

Cascara means husk or shell in Spanish and references the outer layer of the coffee bean.

The drink will feature actual fruit of the coffee cherry and tastes like “notes of dark brown sugar and maple.”

Along with the Cascara Latte, Starbucks will bring back the Smoked Butterscotch Latte for a limited time and also add a new protein-rich breakfast snack, the Sous Vide Egg Bites.

Starbucks will also be dabbling more in food innovation. They already announced that they’ve got plans for a pizza concept and they’re also rolling out a menu of organic soups as part of the Starbucks Bistro Box selections.
