There’s no denying the facts – Chicago is COLD.

If you left your house to get to work today, you probably froze your you know what off.

And it isn’t ending anything soon.

But even though we’re gearing up for the COLDEST December in years, we won’t be able to call it Chiberia.

ICYMI – Chiberia is a term that describes the record-breaking cold of 2013-2014, which averaged temperatures of 22 degrees from December to March.

This week might reach subzero temps that feel like -25 with wind chill, but meteorologists don’t believe it will last a whole four months like a it did a few years ago.

The polar vortex, a term that became popular 2-years ago, is also back in full swing, propelling temps downward.
