Chicago is gearing up for a winter storm that could drop half a foot of snow on the city.

Travel plans will most likely be affected and airlines are very well aware of it. In fact, they’re here to make things easier for travelers.

A few airlines are waiving fees to change passenger flights ahead of the storm.

American, Delta, United and Southwest have issued weather waves to fliers since many flights will be affected by the storm, some even cancelled.

After hitting Chicago, the storm will impact airports and flights on the East Coast.
