We are so sad to report legendary singer Whitney Houston died today at age 48. She was pronounced dead at The Beverly Hilton Hotel at 3:55 pm Pacific time. Cause of death is not know at this time. Though she did have her issues with substance abuse in the past…at this moment we will not think about that but remember her for the amazing music she brought to the world. It is with great sadness that we report singer Whitney Houston has passed away.

Whitney’s reps have confirmed that she passed away this afternoon but are giving no other details.

TMZ is reporting that she was found dead at the Beverly Hilton (where Clive Davis’ Grammy party is tonight) and that a crime lab vehicle is there now. They are also reporting that singer Ray J was the one who found her. (The 2 had a previous relationship and were believed to be together again recently)

She was 48-years old and in her career won: 2 Emmy Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, and 22 American Music Awards.

Her album “Whitney” was also the first female album to ever debut at #1 on the Billboard Charts. She has sold 200 million albums world wide.

R.I.P Whitney.

Pop Icon Whitney Houston Passed Away…

The Associated Press has confirmed that Whitney Houston has passed away this afternoon at the age of 48. She is considered to be one of the world’s best-selling female artists worldwide of all time. This is very sad news.

The cause of her death is still unknown. She is survived by her daughter Bobbi Kristina, whose father is her ex-husband Bobby Brown.

Whitney broke many boundaries in the world of music. She was the first female artist to debut at number one on the Billboard charts.

She has struggled with addiction for most of her life, but she returned to the music scene in 2009 when she released her new album I Look to You.

Whitney has a new film called Sparkle that will be released into theaters later this year.

2012 GRAMMY Awards: Who Will Take Record Of The Year?

The GRAMMYs are just days away! Finally all the talk will become reality, and we’ll either be disappointed or pleased, or both. And the red carpet is bound to be just as exciting as the show itself.

This past year has given us some unforgettable tunes. Adele made us weep with “Someone Like You” and “Rolling in the Deep.” Rihanna made us want to dance and perhaps question her feelings about ex boyfriend Chris Brown (see “We Found Love” video), Katy Perry made the sky light up with “Fireworks,” hoping we wouldn’t be “The One That Got Away” and Bruno Mars expressed what it’s like living on the Jersey Shore, singing about “Grenades” …okay that’s not what that song was about, but still.

GRENAAADE WHISTLLEEE!!! (I had to!)

Back to business. This year’s Record of the Year category is overflowing with talent, so you know that I’ll be at the edge of my seat!

2. Those handmade coupons “For One Free Full Body Massage” work, but keep in mind they do still apply after we break up.
3. There isn’t any need to tell us “I just want you for Valentines day, you don’t have to get us anything.” We know it’s huge a lie.
4. Let’s be honest, this day is really for you, not us. We think of it as a day to score brownie points and maybe get a present when it’s not our birthday. We understand whatever we buy you will have to be 75% more expensive than anything you buy us, with that being said:
5. Don’t shop like a woman for our gifts. Avoid anything scented, knitted or in a bottle (unless it’s booze.) Don’t shop for what you want us to want, shop for what we actually want.
6. Duct Tape Wallets, Pocket Knife, Speakers Shaped like Rocks, Watches and Expensive Craft Beers all count as good gifts.
7. Guys don’t care about greeting cards with mushy love notes, we lost interest in those after they stopped coming with money inside. Just tell us how much bigger our biceps are than your last guys and we will get the same feeling.
